Nuclear Engineering

Danny Gronseth

Nuclear Engineers safely harness the power of the atom to produce energy or to diagnose and treat medical problems.

A Nuclear Engineer works on designing PET scanners, X-ray, and MRI machines to help diagnose an illness. They also develop ways to use radiation to produce and preserve food supplies.  They operate and support nuclear energy systems to reduce environmental pollution from fossil fuels. They also develop power sources that fuel satellites and deep space probes.

This field is the most interesting to me because Nuclear Engineer gets payed a very large salary and make machines that discover peoples conditions and help to cure them. They also experiment with radiation and develop power sources that make our world a better place. I would want to be a Nuclear Engineer for sure!
