wind, water, and ice
by caden graef
this video tells about how powerful water can be and how rivers and canyons were formed.
Erosion occurs when the earth is worn away by wind, water, or ice. In the picture above the erosion was caused by wind. It took millions of years for the wind to carve out that rock. Eventually the boulders on the top of the rocks will fall from the wind making the rock underneath them thinner and thinner.
The erosion in this picture was caused by water. Over hundreds of years of water running through what problobly started as a small stream, now is now about 5 ft deep. All of the rock grass and dirt that used to be there was all swiped away by the water.
