Neil Vandehey Enjoys Spending Time With Family and Traveling
An accomplished mortgage loan officer, Neil Vandehey helps homebuyers in the Pacific Northwest find the perfect loans for their individual needs. Having more than a decade of experience, he has helped everyone from first-time homebuyers to self-employed borrowers and investment borrowers. Neil Vandehey began his career in 2003, after receiving his bachelor’s degree in journalism and marketing from the University of Oregon, and accepted the position of secondary marketing lock desk officer at Portland Mortgage Company.
Over the next several years, Neil Vandehey subsequently worked for such additional companies as EverBank, United Financial Mortgage Corporation, and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, where he gained more experience in mortgage lending and banking. Currently, he serves as a senior mortgage loan officer for Bank of America Home Loans, a position he has held since 2011.
Outside of the office, Mr. Vandehey enjoys playing guitar and listening to live music in his hometown of Portland, Oregon. He also regularly works on home improvement and maintenance projects on rental properties he owns. A dedicated family man, he often takes day trips to the coast with his wife and daughter, and they go out on their boat. Neil Vandehey and his wife recently traveled to Europe for a few months, spending time in Paris, Belgium, and London. He also spent three months in Japan while in college.
