New York Colony

The terrain is very well for all types of people! In New York we have great soil for farmers. We also have hills and flat land. There is a variety of landforms for you to settle on.
The Colony is founded by Peter Minuit in 1624. The Dutch owned New York for trading purposes until in 1664 the English people took over. New York was founded for new lives and better living and trading purposes.
- Religion: There was no specific religion which gave way to religious freedom for Quakers, Catholics, Lutherans, Jews and others
Economy & Trade:
In New York the economy is steady. The people in New York trade and sell a variety of things for a living. You can have basically any job to make a living in New York. Most people are farmers and sell crops and things from animals to make money. A variety of people have been able to make a living here!
King James II gives New York limited privileges of self government. We have freedom of speech and religion. We are now a royal colony run by Sir Edmund Andros.

- New York became a official State on July 28th, 1788
