What does BYOD mean?
Michael Richards, Summer 2014
Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) is a system that allows students to bring in their own personal laptops, tablets, and smartphones from home and use them for educational applications in the classroom. The obvious benefit is that students are already familiar with their own device so their learning curve is minimized. Today's learning environments are becoming more and more engaged with technology helping to scaffold learning that is on-demand, connected, and MOBILE.
We will examine what this means for the High School and how WE can move forward!
