The battle of Shiloh, also known as The battle of Pittsburg Landing, Was a big part of the American Civil War. The battle only lasted one day, from April 6, 1862 to April 7, 1862. The United States also known as the union fought Confederate states of america who are also known as the confederacy. 66,812 men fought on the union side and 44,699 men fought on the confederate side. on the union side 1,754 men died 8,408 men got injured and 2,885 men were missing. On the confederate side 1,728 men died, 8,012 men got injured and 959 men were missing.The location of this battle was Hardin County, Tennessee.
