About Nick Ayers

Called a rising star within the Republican Party by political analysts and politicians alike, Nick Ayers serves as a political and advertising strategist based in Atlanta, Georgia. He began working in politics in the early 2000s while an undergraduate at Kennesaw State University. In 2001, Nick Ayers joined Sonny Perdue’s gubernatorial election campaign as an executive aide; in 2006, he managed Perdue’s successful reelection to Governor of Georgia.

From 2006 to 2011, Nick Ayers served as executive director of the Republican Governors Association. In this role, he raised funds for Republican gubernatorial campaigns around the country and helped increase the number of GOP governors in the United States from 22 to 29. Mr. Ayers went on to serve as a director of transition for the Republican National Committee’s current chairman, Reince Priebus. He later managed former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty’s 2012 campaign for president.

The recipient of a bachelor’s degree in political science from Kennesaw State, Nick Ayers joined Los Angeles–based Target Enterprises as a partner in 2011. He currently serves in this capacity and focuses on development of advertising strategies that attract private sector businesses, political committees, and other clients of Target Enterprises.
