What does nitrogen do for plants?

              Nitrogen is a necessary part of all proteins enzymes, and metabolic precesses involved in making and transferring energy. It is a part of chlorophyll and helps plants with rapid growth and increases seed and fruit production.

Where does nitrogen come from naturally?

             Nitrogen comes from bacteria, animal waste, and lightning, which takes the nitrogen from the air and sticks it into the ground.

What are signs a plant is lacking nitrogen?  

                Without nitrogen the plant doesn't grow as well. Leaves fail to reach expected size and flower blooms are smaller.       

What fertilizer can be used to correct this?

              Organic nitrogen fertilizer helps.
