Ivory Coast, Africa
Well known for its diversity of cultures and religion Muslims were to the north of the Ivory Coast. Rebellion struck the government and left Henri Bedie the former president to flee. Mr. Bedie left the people to fear the Muslims to the north which caused conflict and civil war in 2000-2002. The fighting mostly stopped in 2004. The tension is still very high there. The French and the UN stay there to buffer the situation still in the present day. Peace deals have taken place to ease the tension .
