Norm Gretzinger - New York Private Equity Firm Managing Director
A New York resident, Norman “Norm” Gretzinger studied business at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada. He was heavily involved in student activities, serving as the vice president of finance for the Business Students Association and participating in the Banff Student Business Seminar. Before graduating with a bachelor of commerce, Norm Gretzinger earned numerous accolades, including the Peter Lougheed Leadership Award. Subsequently, he was admitted into Columbia University in New York. A Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and editor of the Law Review, Mr. Gretzinger received a juris doctor degree.
Mr. Gretzinger launched his career at Sullivan & Cromwell as a general practice associate. Researching legal issues and negotiating agreements, he honed his skills in debt financing and mergers and acquisitions. His work impacted industries ranging from public broadcasting to global mining. Thereafter, Mr. Gretzinger spent nearly seven years with JP Morgan Chase as head of North American consumer M&A and oversaw $25 billion in merger and acquisition transactions. Today, Norman Gretzinger is managing director of EG Capital, handling multimillion-dollar investments.
