William Tecumseh Sherman
Evidence 1: Sherman was very loyal.
Warrant 1.1: Sherman was a general next to Grant, Sherman always stood by him. They were called the "brothers in arms".
Warrant 1.2: Sherman had an unfortunate event during the war and got put on leave. In most cases, if a general got put on leave they would join the opposite side of the war. However, Sherman didn't. He just waited it out until he could come back, then he came back with no hard feelings.
Warrant 1.3: When Sherman came back he didn't have to start at the bottom and work his way up again. Grant already trusted him because back when Grant wanted to leave the war Sherman changed his mind. Since that happen he knew that Sherman wanted to do what was the best for everyone and put him back to the top right next to Grant again.
