Athena is the goddess of wisdom, reason, intelligent activity, arts and literature. She is from Mount Olympus. She is the daughter of Zeus, but no mother. Her brothers are Apollo, Artemis, Ares, Dionysus, Hebe, Hermes, the Muses, Pan and Persephone. She sprung out of his forehead in a full set of armor. She was brave and fierce in battle but would only fight in wars that would protect her region. She created the bridle so men could ride horses, the trumpet, the flute, the pot, the rake, the plow, the ship, and the chariot. She was Zeus's favorite and was allowed to use his weapons including his thunderbolt. Her Holy tree was and olive tree and was sometimes symbolized as an owl. Athena was a virgin and gave birth to no children.
