Scientific Notation

The exponent seven is saying that the ten actually has seven zeros in total.

Sample Problems

How much the exponent is, is how many zeros the ten actually has. An easy way is to look at the exponent and move the decimal over that many spaces to the right, on the number that is being multiplied. It will be the same answer and it will be much faster.

2.56*10⁵=

9.3*10⁷=

Scientific notation is actually pretty easy when you get the hang of it.
