The wearing away of rocks
The grand canyon went through weathering. It was shaped by a river, so that would be physical weathering.
Physical weathering: Is also known as mechanical weathering. It is created when the following break a rock or land form by wind, sun, water, and ice. An example of physical weathering is a cave the humid air down inside creates water dripping from the catacombs.
Chemical weathering: Occurs when in chemical compositions of the rock or minerals from exposure to theenvironment. Is when things like acid rain and gases change it. The prime chemical weathering is acid rain.
