Real Love Love in Romeo and Juliet is not some pretty, idealized emotion. Yes, the love Romeo and Juliet share is beautiful and passionate. It is pure, exhilarating, and transformative, and they are willing to give everything to it. But it is also chaotic and destructive, bringing death to friends, family, and to themselves. Over and over in the play, Romeo and Juliet's love is mentioned in connection with death and violence, and finds it's greatest expression in their suicide.Romeo and Juliet also extends beyond the love that Romeo and Juliet feel for each other. All the characters in the play constantly talk about love. Romeo and Juliet is not just about what happens when two hormonal teenagers collide. It's clear to anyone who's watched engaged and underaged that getting what you want out of young love isn't always all it's cracked up to be. The real moral of the story here is that sometimes love is doomed to fail, and that applies no matter how old you are and what time you're living in. centers on the ill-fated love between the adolescent offspring of two leading, but warring, families of medieval Verona. Because of the feud between the families and the dictates of the day, which gave Juliet's father the right to promise her in marriage to any man of his choice, Romeo and Juliet's secret marriage is destined to bring tragedy both to the couple and to their families. Romeo and Juliet's love for one another, concentrating on its brevity and the extent to which it was lustful.
Romeo Montague, 16, passed away Thursday, July 18th, 1578.
Romeo was born in Verona and was the only child and son of Lord and Lady Montague. He was educated at home by private tutors and governesses. He lived a happy, joyful, and fun-filled life.
Romeo was always a popular figure about Verona. However, recently he had become involved in a bitter family feud with the Capulet family and was banished to Mantua following the death of Tybalt Capulet in the town square.
He lived a quiet life in Mantua until he heard the news about the death of Juliet Capulet. He dashed back to Verona and went to the Capulet’s vault. It is likely he killed Paris in the vault because Paris was found dead inside. Seeing Juliet dead, Romeo drank a mysterious but deadly elixir.
After Romeo’s death, Friar Lawrence revealed that Romeo had married Juliet Capulet in secret. Juliet Capulet also died this week (obituary).
He is survived by his parents, Lord and Lady Montague.
Calling hours will be held Friday, July 19th, 1578, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Chapel of St. Paul, Verona town square.
