Cost Effective

Cadbury along with other businesses always seek cost effectiveness. This is because if they can handle their money with care, then they are able to come out with a better profit and income. If the business is able to make a bigger profit then this can lead the company to afford to pay their workers more and this would boost their productivity. The business would be earning more, making more and producing more.

A business can be cost effective by reducing the amount spent of materials or other things such as wages, equipment and even electricity within their factories etc.

Cadbury are able to produce more in less time by making their employees work faster. If the business did this then they would also have to pay more because no-one is going to work at an amazing rate for little money. So Cadbury would have to pay their workers more or at least find a method where the employees agree to work for more but less.

Cadbury might choose to reduce its workforce but produce at the same level because they are already doing fine and don't need extra workers as they would be able to save money.

Cadbury would use the Just In Time method as it is very useful in the food industry. This is because they are not able to make chocolate out of last weeks leftovers. This is due to the fact that it would go bad. The chocolate must be fresh in order to make it good. They would use robotic for many different reasons. But they do use robots such as wrapping the product in their official packing and pack them into boxes, checking the products etc. Robots are used due to the fact that they are a lot more cost effective than humans. They are able to work quicker and much more better than a human is able to.

Computer-integrated manufacturing is the manufacturing approach of using computers to control the entire production process. The machines/robots are programed to do task that would replace a human. They are filled with information. The machines are manufactured to be faster and less error-prone, although the main advantage is the ability to create automated manufacturing processes.

Out of the following 4 methods, Cadbury would not have used the method about reducing its workforce as its already use multiple machines to replace humans. The rate that the robots work at are already fantastic which is able to explain Cadbury's mass production of chocolates. Cadbury's would have to do this as they are a world wide business and supply the whole world with chocolate.

Cadbury's are able to save money by purchasing in massive bulks, buying equipment, obtaining loan rates, employing special staff that are useful and being able to brand rather than products.
