Leukemia is a blood cancer. It begins in the bone marrow. Bone marrow is the soft spot in the middle of the bone.
It is new lump or a swollen gland. They also can be nose bleeds or the bleeding of gums.
The leukemia cells will out number the normal working cells. AML is type of leukemia that makes the production of white blood cells uncontrollable.
Stages of Leukemia
It is normally diagnosed after chronic lymphocytic. They check the the bone marrow to see what stage it is in.
If a patient has a stem cell transplantation which makes it treatable with high doses of radiation.
The normal survival rate is 80% to 90%. So that means if you get leukemia you have a good chance of surviving.
