What is a hurricane

A Hurricane is a storm with violent wind.hurricanes tend to form by the equator over warm ocean waters.

How is a hurricane formed

They only form over warm water about 80 or warmer. Then winds come together and force air up . Then winds flow outwards above the storm allowing the air below to rise . humid air rising makes the clouds of the storm. light winds outside the hurricane steer it and lets it grow

Historical Hurricane

One of the most deadly hurricane is hurricane Galveston of 1900 and that killed an estimated 6,000 to 8,000 people. people because the lack of warning. it was a Category 4 hurricane. it was a 5-foot storm surge flooded the city. it was in Galveston, Texas.

         In 2005 Hurricane Katrina killed 1,833 people and it was a category 5 hurricane. hurricane Katrina affected New Orleans the most because it is below sea level.

Impact on Human

The Impact on human of hurricane Katrina was really bad the storm did a great deal of damage it killed 1,833 people.1 million people were made homeless after hurricane Katrina. Katrina caused more than $100 billion in damage. Hurricane Galveston destroyed 3600 buildings.
