Hi everyone I am Hayden,
My holidays were very busy with lots of days trips.
On the first day of school holidays as a competition winner that my dad entered me in earlier in the year I got to see the Australian cricket team train before the Boxing Day test match against Sri Lanka. Myself and 99 other kids got to train on the MCG. When we where on the ground we practised batting, bowling, catching and throwing, then we had a question and answer session with some of the Aussie cricket boys ( Mathew Wade, Jackson Bird, Phillip Hughes and the captain Michael Clarke). After that we had pictures and autographs with some of the players as you can see below.
A couple of days after celebrating Christmas, we went to the Aquarium in the city and we saw fish, sea stars, sea urchins, stingrays, sharks and penguins. We watched two divers feed fish ,sharks and stingray. After we went to the Aquarium we went to over to Crown Casino and had a look at the Christmas balls and after a busy day we each had ice cream.
Then we went to MCG again to see the Melbourne Stars vs Melbourne Renegades. We got there at about 3:30pm and watched the Victorian Woman's team play a 20/20 match against New South Wales. Then at 7:00pm the game stared Melbourne Stars batted first, they Scored 9/146 the highest score - 29 was by Luke Wright, the Melbourne Renegades scored 1/147. It was a very late night cause we got home at 12:15 am.
Then the next day we went to Etihad Stadium for a tour. l learnt alot about the history of the stadium. It opened in 2000, and for a Platinum membership that gets you a seat with a tv it cost $7000 a year!!! We also watched a video about André Rieu's concert it took 10 days to build his set it was amazing. The first cricketer to hit the roof is Mike Hussey, at Etihad stadium they have a bar called the E.J. Whitten Bar.
There where so many other things l did over my holidays, like go to the Sand Sculputres at Frankston, the movies, had a sleep over at my grandparents, hung out with all my cousins, went to the park with some friends a few times, tried out the skate park and went out for lunch. The ones l have talked about where my favourite four.
