Inferences

Inference Definition: An inference is an educated guess about a certain topic.

Examples of an Inference:

A young girl burst through the doors, her brown, straight hair hanging by the side of her face, her dress a pearl white, her petticoat hanging below her dress and lace that stretches on her chest. (Excerpt of story by Lautay)

Based on this excerpt of this story, I infer that this girl is in a hurry because the girl 'burst through the doors'. I also infer that this girl does not live in the current age, because of 'her petticoat hanging below her dress and lace that stretches on her chest.'

Based on the image below, I infer that the person who owns this bookcase likes to read, because of the amount of books put into the bookcase.
