Homemade Sweet Pickles

No canning needed


1 large cucumber (as big one you can get)

2 Tbsps pickling spice

4 Tbsps sugar

2 cups water

1 cup apple cider

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/4 cup chopped red onion  

Slice cucumber about 1/2 inch then mix with onion then but in a container. Make sure they are snug fit. In a sauce pan add all the rest ingredients . Bring to a boil for 3 mintues then let cool for 5  mintues. Slowly pour over cucumbers.  Put lid on and shake for a couple minutes . Every few hour shake then flip . Repeat for 2 days. On 3rd day they will  be ready to eat keeps for 2 weeks . Must be refrigerate.
