1. How did you make the theme your own?
I went really abstract with my interpretation. I was trying to think of what makes someone lucky, and I think it's a mix of skill and chance, so I wanted to capture that in this image. She's lucky because the trick worked out and she didn't end up hurting herself. And I also feel that the picture just captures the whole idea of luck; it's a leap of faith and you have no idea what the outcome might be.
2. What do you like about your photo?
I love the moment I caught the image, and I love the expression on her face. I just love the moment I caught her in the air because it really looks like she's made a mistake.
3. What would you change?
I wish her face registered a little more fear or excitement.
4. What actions did you run and what did you do with these actions?
I first ran nice and easy to darken the image, lower the saturation, and heighten the clarity. Then I ran Hendrix to give it this really edgy and vintage feel. I turned off several of the tint layers to make the photo my own and give it a realistic vintage feel.
5. Who's photo was your favorite from last week?
My favorite faded photo was Alison Martinek's.
