The average temperature of all months is lower than 72°F and at least four months with average temperatures over 50°F (10°C). It has year around equally spread rainfall. Some locations with this climate type are North America, South America, Australia, and New Zealand. The locations vary on the western coast of continents between the latitudes of 45° and 60°. Flora in this climate are thick forests and a variety of plant life including evergreen trees such as spruce, cedar, redwood, and pine. Fauna in climates like these are birds (Eagles in North America) and penguins in New Zealand. Also, mainly small mammals are found here, a few exceptions are a species of bears found in some regions. An interesting characteristic about this climate is that mid-latitude cyclones influence the weather for most of the year. Warm ocean currents keep these climates mild in winter and cool in the summer.
