Pacific Art Foundation Supports Emerging and Established Artists
About Pacific Art Foundation
The Pacific Art Foundation, based in Southern California, upholds its dedication to promoting artistic endeavors through scholarship opportunities. The group maintains a relationship with the Laguna College of Art and Design, and it regularly awards financial assistance for tuition payments to talented students so that they may continue to work toward a satisfying career in art. Recently, the Pacific Art Foundation awarded such scholarships to six students from the institution in the categories of animation, illustration, game art, graphic design, and painting and drawing. Another student was also chosen for an honorable mention. Previously the Foundation has sponsored the American Visual Arts Achievement Award to people who have contributed significantly to visual arts in the southern area of the state. The Foundation displays its artwork permanently at the Pacific Club in Newport Beach, but generously lends pieces to other collections and institutions. Docent tours also allow the public to view the artwork. The nonprofit concentrates its efforts on amassing drawings, paintings, and sculptures by American artists, especially contemporary ones who call California their home.
