About Padraig Greene

Priest Padraig Greene presided over The Catholic Community of Pleasanton (CCOP) in Pleasanton, California, for four years. During his tenure at the popular San Francisco Bay Area church, Fr. Greene achieved important inroads; he grew mass attendance by 20 percent over two years, and he founded the Faith Formation programs to welcome and guide new youth and adult followers as they joined or continued in the Catholic faith. Fr. Padraig Greene also laid plans and began fundraising to build the John Paul II Activity Center to meet the needs of the CCOP’s growing membership, and he oversaw restoration at the parish’s St. Augustine campus.

Before joining the CCOP, Fr. Padraig Greene ministered to The Faith Community of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fremont, California. His experiences and achievements at the thriving multicultural parish laid important groundwork for his future work in the faith. In addition, he previously ran the Family Life Centre, Boyle, located in Ireland, where he oversaw counseling for families, couples, individuals, youths, and adults. Fr. Greene earned a bachelor of divinity and a master of education from St. Patrick’s College in Maynooth, Ireland. More recently
