Pamela Leff Assists Seniors and Adults at Central Queens Y
About Pamela Leff
An experienced licensed social worker, Pamela Leff works for the Central Queens Y, a nonprofit Queens County community center, which offers educational, social, and recreational services. As Director of Adult and Senior Services at Central Queens Y, Pamela Leff assists seniors with mental health needs, teaching coping skills to two bereavement groups and making home visits to isolated seniors. One of her goals is to discover more evidence of how music can help seniors who have Alzheimer’s and those who have suffered a stroke.
Pamela Leff is an active member of several professional organizations, including the New York State Society for Clinical Social Workers and the National Association of Social Workers. Compelled to help those in need, she has volunteered with Lawyers with Children and Yours Ours Mine Community Center.
Ms. Leff obtained her bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University. She then attended the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College and received her master of social work.
