My Paris Vacation
A walk about Paris will provide lessons in history, beauty, and in the point of Life. -Thomas Jefferson
Charles de Gaulle, Airport, Paris 11a.m. ready for a great trip.
On our first day we got up early and went to the Eiffel Tower.
We played photographers, taking photos from every angle but didn't go up.
The lines were too long.
Instead we went on a cruise up the River Seine accompanied by a guide explaining the history of Paris and it's canals.
It floats under beautiful bridges and allows you to relax and take in everthing Paris has to offer which is alot.
After two hours on the boat we arrived back at the Eiffel Tower famished. We decided to have a picnic in Champ de Mars, which is a large public park. We indulged in sweet things from a local Parisian Boulangery. We ate criossants and cake followed by ice cream to top it off.
At sunset on the second day we went to the top of one of the most famous monuments in Paris, the Arc de Triomphe. It honours those who fought for France in the French Revolutionary and the Napoleonic Wars. I have included a picture on this page but neither my words nor the digital cameras interpretation gives justice to the magnificent scene.
