About Pari Sara Shirazi
As former vice dean of Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, Pari Sara Shirazi expanded the university's geographic reach and developed global opportunities for students. She stands out as the driving force behind Tisch School of the Arts Asia, the university's first degree-granting satellite campus to offer a master of fine arts (MFA). The designer of digital arts, producing, and dramatic writing programs for the Asia campus, Pari Sara Shirazi has also developed collaborative international programs with such world-renowned institutions as the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and the Shanghai Theatre Arts Academy.
An accomplished writer and scholar of international media arts in her own right, Pari Sara Shirazi stands out as founder and former curator of the Next Reel International Film Festival. Specifically known for her expertise in Iranian cinema and media arts, she presented at the 2010 World Congress for Middle Eastern Studies and served as a panelist at the Dubai Next exhibition in 2008. She has also written an optioned screenplay and is currently at work on a historical novel that follows an Iranian family through the mid-20th century.
