About Pastor Charles Jenkins

In addition to his responsibilities as senior pastor at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church of Chicago, Pastor Charles Jenkins is founder and president of Fellowship Educational and Economic Development Corporation (FEED), a non-profit organization that focuses on revitalizing Chicago’s inner-city neighborhoods and its residents. As part of FEED, he started The Legacy Project, a program that endeavors to create more jobs, a charter school, and a community center for Chicago’s Chatham neighborhood. Additionally, Pastor Charles Jenkins plans to develop a health center, as well as restaurants and retails centers to boost the revenue in the area.

An award-winning songwriter and recording artist, Pastor Jenkins has received recognition that includes a Grammy award and five Stellar awards for his #1 CD, “The Best of Both Worlds” and his inspirational praise and worship ballad, “Awesome.” He also has developed his own recording label, Inspired People, and recently signed gospel artist Byron Cage.

Pastor Jenkins earned a bachelor’s degree in Christian education from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois. He received his master’s degree in religion from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois.
