The way I see it, if you're gonna build an assessment, why not do it with some style?

Preparing for Boot Camp

Assignment (complete before you come!)

  1. Visit the Diigo Group for Performance Assessments. If you have not yet been invited to join this group, visit these instructions for joining a private group.
  2. Select 2 Diigo bookmarks to explore. Select 1 resource that is general to performance assessments and 1 resource that is more specific to your content area.
  3. Explore at least 1 webtool from the options below. Tell me which one you want to explore during our f2f session @ Innovative Boot Camp.

And, last but not least, add a comment to the Comment Stream at the bottom of the page. I have provided the first comment as an example.

I learned that performance assessments are not always big projects. They can be quick, formative assessments also. I want to try creating a template for developing performance assessments. I also want to know more about how all of you are using performance assessments in your classes. What challenges can we help each other overcome?👌

Performance assessments are great! I've been an educator for 20 years and have been using and developing my performance rubrics since 1998. I can't live without them, and can't wait to learn more.

I believe that we often complete small activities and because of their simplicity, sometimes we don't coin them as performance tasks. I would like to examine the use of performance tasks more in math.

I am really looking forward to learning something new and long to learn ways to improve my assessments, especially with technology.
