One such fundraiser is the Selfless Elf Run, an annual holiday event that celebrated its third anniversary in December 2015. Participants don festive costumes and complete a 3.1-mile course that commences and terminates at the Foodbank. In addition to the race itself, the day features activities, snacks, and a visit from Santa Claus.

Contestants are encouraged to raise pledges for the run, and they can become a “VIP” by raising in excess of $250. The proceeds support the Foodbank. More than 2,000 Ohio residents have attended the Selfless Elf Run to date.
