Pierce Crowley of Rye, New York, Athlete, Student, and Volunteer

Pierce Crowley, a senior at Rye High School in New York, balances his academic responsibilities with a variety of extracurricular and work activities. He most recently served as an attendant at Westchester Beach Club, where he provided service to guests and participated in the upkeep and cleaning of the facilities.

During the school year, Pierce Crowley dedicates much of his time to maintaining his 3.32 grade point average and competing as a student athlete. He stands out as a current member of his high school basketball team. He also has competed in cross country, hockey, and lacrosse.

Actively involved with his community, he has coached children's lacrosse clinics and teams in a number of settings in Rye, New York. In 2013, he earned recognition as one of the top coaches in the league. He also has joined his basketball teammates in visiting the Portchester Nursing Home, where the athletes spent time with elderly residents.

He enjoys playing sports in his free time, as well, and is an avid follower of Boston’s many professional sports teams.
