What is Daoism? "Daoism is a Chinese philosophy that emphasizes living in harmony with nature. "Daoism was the second great philosophy to come out of china. "Like Confusianism, it tried to provide answers to the problems that prevented right living and good government." Daoism wanted to show the other philosophies that they can rule the government just like them, but in a good way, unlike legalism. "Daoism was based on the ancient Chinese idea of the Dao or also known as "the way"." Dao was the force that gave order to the natural universe." In time, adios developed into a popular religion.
Laozi was a real man who lived in the late 500's B.C.E. "Laozi was known as the great sage, or wise man, of daoism." The Daoism people thought Laozi as the legend. Laozi was one of the writers of the Dao De Jing. He believed that people gained happiness and peace by living in harmony, or agreement, with the way of nature. "Everyone must discover the Dao for themselves. Too many laws and social rules conflict with the way of living naturally and following the Dao." Laozi always says "The best rulers are those who rule the least." I think that you must return to a simple and natural way of living. Nature doesn't brag.
Have you ever heard of Yin and Yang? Let me tell you a few things. Yin and Yang are the Daoist concept of opposing forces of nature. "Yin means "shaded" and Yang means "sunlit"." Human life is a whole made up of opposites. It is impossible to have something good going on without something bad happening. Yin is the black side with the white dot in it and Yang is the white side with the black dot in it. You could describe the relationship between Yin and Yang as a ray of sunlight casting over a huge mountain.Yin is the passive, negative force, and Yang is the active, positive force.
