Love Or Lust?
Two households, both alike in dignity,
In fair Verona, where we lay our scene,
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.
From forth the fatal loins of these two foes
A pair of star-cross'd lovers take their life;
Whose misadventured piteous overthrows
Do with their death bury their parents' strife.
The fearful passage of their death-mark'd love,
And the continuance of their parents' rage,
Which, but their children's end, nought could remove,
Is now the two hours' traffic of our stage;
The which if you with patient ears attend,
What here shall miss, our toil shall strive to mend.
Example of LOVE: DanCE ScenE
The Dance scene would be an example of LOVE because he noticed her beauty even though he didn't know her personally.
¨Did my heart love till now? Forswear it, sight! For I ne'er saw true beauty till this night.¨
Example of LUST: BAlcOny SceNe
The Balcony scene is an example of LUST because he immediately asked her to marry him, only because she didn't believe his love for her was true.
Romeo: ¨Lady, by yonder blessed moon I swear. That tips with silver all these fruit-tree tops—¨
Juliet: ¨O, swear not by the moon, the inconstant moon, That monthly changes in her circled orb, Lest that thy love prove likewise variable. ¨
In the movie Mulan it conveys Love and Lust. She She became to LUST over her war trainer because of his personality and charisma. He noticed something was different about "him" but didn't know what it was. When it was discovered that she was a woman, her and the trainor began to fall deeper and deeper in LOVE, once they really noticed who they were.
Mulan compares to Romeo & Juliet in many ways. Mulan had to decide and make CHOICES that could have changed her life for the better or good. In Romeo & Juliet they had to the same with their marriage and just everything associating their families feud.
Mulan had to risk loyalty. When she joined the military she was impersonating and man trying to save her father from losing his life. Romeo & Juliet both risk loyalty to their families and eachother when making certain decisions within their marriage.
