Inferences from "The Princess And The Pea" Author:Rachel Isadora

1-The Prince wanted to marry a real princess.
Inference:He did not want to be alone for the rest of his life.

2-There was a princess standing at the gate.But gracious what a sight the rain and the wind had made her look.

Inference:It was raining and she needed help or she needed somewhere to stay until the  storm is over.

3-"Ah! we shall soon find out if she is real." said the Queen so she went into the bedroom, where she laid a pea upon the bedstead then she took twenty mattresses and laid them on the pea, and then put twenty feather beds on top of the mattresses.

Inference:To see if the princess was real or not or to see if she could feel the pea and feather beds.

4-The next morning, the princess was asked how she had slept.

Inference:To see if she had slept good or bad and to see if she could feel the pea.

5-Now they knew that she was a real princess.

Inference:They wanted to know if she had slept badly and to see if she felt the pea.
