To Build a Fire
One lesson that can be learned from this story is to not travel alone. For example, if you fail in making a fire and you have no other means of making one, a partner would be of great help. "If he only had a trail-mate he would have been in no danger now. The trail-mate could have built the fire. The cold itself can provide lots of problems so its good to travel with a partner at low temperatures.
