Australians and Americans have different lifestyles, from the cultures to the social context. The Australian society has different aspects on our dominate values, beliefs and attitudes. In the documentary Super Size Me, it has shown us how Americans live in their daily life bases, which most of them live on fast food.

Americans are known to be the one of the most obese country’s in the world. At least 1 in 4 people eat some type of fast food every day. Their fast food are served with a large portion, and workers at fast food restaurants often recommended for a super-size meal (which is a large size). Mostly everywhere you go, there are fast food. There are about 160,000 fast food restaurants in America. There is about 50 million Americans that are served daily. There are more than one-third of American adults who are obese.

Australians lifestyle are much different to American, they value and have pride in their nations, desire their mateships and living a better lifestyle. Australians value their sports, living in a multicultural society and having positive view and respect for our ANZAC history. This documentary gives us two aspects of lifestyles and lets us compare what society we live in. Australians live in a society where we value our nation and wildlife. Believing in freedom of speech and opinion. Having a strong sense of national pride. The documentary shown that the American lady did not know the national anthem but she knew the McDonalds Slogan.

Australians have a very active and physical lifestyle and is which the most important to them. Where Americans do not care about their health and just eat what they want and how they want, according to Super Size Me documentary. Australians have more of a positive mind set where they would change what they don’t like. Where Americans would sue if McDonalds made them over weight or any fast food restaurant in particulars. There are also many reasons to why people consume fast food. The many reasons are that it is easier to obtain and is cheaper, but at the end of the day it is your choice of what you consume.
