The Life of Kobe Bryant
Kobe Bean Bryant, born on August 23, 1978, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, professional basketball player, lead his team, the Los Angeles Lakers, to five championships and became one of the most prolific scorers the NBA has ever signed. He began his basketball career, to follow in the footsteps of his father, and was drafted in 1996 at the age of 18.
He grew up with two older sisters, Sharia & Shaya, and the son of Pamela Cox Bryant & Joe Bryant, former 76ers player. He began playing basketball at 3 years old and also learned how to play soccer. Bryant was very intelligent as a boy. He learned to speak Italian and Spanish at a young age. The Bryant family, was not rich or poor, they basically were as wealthy as a normal family.
The year 1996 was when Kobe was first inducted into the NBA. He was drafted by the Charlotte Hornets, which was the first team he ever played for. In 1997, Charlotte traded him to the Los Angeles Lakers, where he won the Slam Dunk Contest and did most of his basketball playing.
