The Tundra

The Tundra ecosystem is a mostly winter ecosystem with a small amount of summer.

Biotic-Wolves, Moose, Owls, Polar bears, Rabbits, Diamond Leaf Willow, Bearberry and some more.

Abiotic-Snow, Air, Sunlight, Ice, Frozen Soil.

Carrying Capacity

The number of people, other living organisms, or crops that a region can support without environmental degradation.

Arctic Hares have an all white coat in the
winter, and in the summer the coat may change to a blue-
gray or gray-brown coat. Arctic Hares have large hind
feet that enable them to move very quickly across the
snow. They also have claws that help them to dig
through the snow when looking for mosses or other
vegetation to eat.

Limiting Factors

A limiting factor in a system is an input or variable such that a small change in it from the present value would cause a non-negligible change in an output or other measure of the system.

1) Vegetation by climatic factors such as cool temperatures.  A Artic wolf is the predator of the prey, Artic Hare. A Artic hare eats vegetation and if there isn't enough then the Hares population could decrease and if the Hares decrease so will the Artic Wolf since they eat the Hares.

Producers are any kinds of green plants that uses photosynthesis to make their own food.

An organisms that generally obtains food by feeding on other organisms or organic matter due to lack of the ability to manufacture own food

An organism, often a bacterium or fungus, that feeds on and breaks down dead plant or animal matter, thus making organic nutrients available to the ecosystem.

Difference between Food Chain and Food Web

A food chain refers to four main parts. These are: The sun, The producers,The consumers , The fourth in the food chains are the scavengers.

A food web on the other hand refers to a bunch of food chains that make up an ecosystem. It is a mass of connected food chains that are interlinked at various points.

If I took out the Arctic Hare, most of the carnivores would decrease a lot because the Arctic Hares are sort of the most preyed on animals.

The reason we use a pyramid is because it gets to the point of the top of the triangle easily. (get it XD gets to the point, no okay...) The bottom of the period is for the producers because they don't eat other organisms, they make their own food. Sort of like a lower class to higher class thing, get me.

Carbon  dioxide, Sunlight, Water is what is needed for photosynthesis. When the photosynthesis happens the plants produce sugar for its own food. And it releases oxygen for us.

The turning or bending movement of an organism or a part of an organism in a particular direction in response to an external stimulus such as light or gravity.

Decomposers are important to all ecosystems actually, if there wasn't any decomposers then there would be dead animals and bodies everywhere. It would reek up the earth and sooner or later there wouldn't be room for all the live people.

Bacteria, mosses, lichen, and fungi are some decomposers you can find in the tundra.
