How does  the type of circuit affect the  strand of Christmas lights?

If the Christmas lights are arranged in a parallel circuit then when 1 bulb bursts (is removed) the other bulbs will continue to light up.

I observed that the lights are dim because of one battery and that the energy used is very high.

now I noticed that without a bulb the power still rums and nothing happens. The circuit to that bulb went to another and made the other bulbs a little bit more brighter.

the light is still dim when running on one battery is what I observed.

without one bulb everything stopped because it was only running on one circuit.

a parallel circuit is the series circuit to use for Christmas lights. Its because when a light bursts the others stay on? During my experiment with the parallel circuit i removed one bulb and the light stayed on. With the series circuit it, the light lit up. But when u take out one the lights turn off. This is my experiment about what to use for Christmas lights. My choice is to use a parallel circuit.
