by Jonis

This is Eagle Rock. The pioneers passed the eagle rock on the way to Oregon. Did you now that the pioneers named the Oregon Trail in 1846 ?
This is chimney rock. the pioneers past it. Located some twelve miles west of Courthouse. Most pioneers mentioned it in their diaries.
They were in huge groups, and had to bring there own food. They had to bring there own oxen, horse, and mules.
This is a ferry. It was built if the water was to deep, and sometimes their stuff fell in the water and there oxen would get stuck.
The pioneers did not have technology or cars. So they had to use wagons and horses.
Some people went through the mountains. Some went around the mountain.
Sometimes they had to go by hand. They had to cross rivers.
