My Food Chain By Elena

All Food Chains start with the Sun. The Sun provides energy to the producers, which in my food chain is grass. Grass gets all of the Sun's energy. Energy is transferred from the grass to the Grasshopper. Grasshopper are herbivores which means they only eat plants and they're consumers. Next a Frog come along and eats the grasshopper to get energy. A Frog is a carnivore and a consumer. Now a Snake comes along and eats the Frog. Snakes are carnivores. They are also consumers. Last when the snake dies it's remains are left and a Earthworm who's a decomposer takes the remains and brings them to help the soil. Then the soil can grow plants and the cycle starts over.
