What started the French and Indian war?

According to "wars.findthedata.org", the French and Indian war began because the French and British were involved in a dispute over the Ohio River territory. Also, on the website "Indians.org", it clearly states, the war sparked when both Britain and France claimed territories in the new world. Therefore, the war began because the French and British argued about who got what land. They both tried claiming the same land and as a result of this, the French and Indian war took place.
