Hezbollah is based out of Lebanon. They control the Southern tip and North Eastern section of the country. Hezbollah also holds 11 seats in the Lebanese parliament after creating a national unity government with Lebanon in 2008 , giving it veto power. They were created in 1985 to fight off the Israeli invasion of Lebanon. The people involved are mostly viewed as hard-line Shia extremists
The goals of Hezbollah include to end foreign occupation, to fight against Israel and end its inhuman practices in Palestine and Lebanon
To become a voice of innocent Lebanese citizens and show that Israel is not invincible
Paint the true picture of Islam as a religion that is logical, practical, and in accordance with modern day requirements
Although Hezbollah does not take credit for these attacks, some attacks that the group has been accused of are the 2012 Burgas bus bombing, a 2011 bombing in Istanbul, the 1994 London Israeli embassy attack, the 1996 bombing of the Khobar Towers, and the 1194 AMIA bombing of a Jewish cultural center. More recently, Hezbollah has been busy fighting the Islamic State in Syria and Northern Lebanon.
While an accurate count of Hezbollah fighters, supporters, and politicians is unavailable, they were initially created by the Ayatollah Khomeini with 1,500 Iranian revolutionary guard members. The current head of the organization is Hassan Nasrallah.
