Prevention of Heart Disease
by Aalyha Padilla
Cardiovascular disease refers to chronic diseases of the heart and blood vessels associated with aging.
Ways to prevent heart disease are:
Do not smoke.
Get 30 to 45 minutes of exercise daily.
Eat appropriate portion sizes.
Eat more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains and fewer processed and fries foods.
Get regular blood pressure and blood cholesterol level checks.
It is thought that the latest lipid deposits in arteries are those that are most likely to rupture and cause heart attacks.
