1600 - Israelites journey to Egypt to avoid famine

1500- Abraham, leads Semitic nomads from Sumer to Canaan and then on to Egypt

1400- Canaanites found Urusalim

1300- iron age in Palestine

1250-Indo-European tribes move to Palestine

1225- the Hebrew king Saul defeats the Philistines and unifies Israel with capital in Jerusalem

1125- the Canaanites are definitely defeated by the Hebrews

1025- the Hebrew king Saul defeats the Philistines and unifies Israel with capital in Jerusalem

1020- Saul becomes the first king of Israel
