My Rockin' Summer
Her name is Rio and she dances on the sand
Just like that river twists across a dusty land
And when she shines she really shows you all she can
Oh Rio, Rio dance across the Rio Grand

Canyonlands After The Rain by Pam Holnback
This year was definitely one of the most Rockin' Summers I have ever had! I was a castaway to a dangerous environment... CAMP, I even got to sleep on canyons! I volunteered to help kids at a few diverse places, I think I ended up liking the First Graders best. My plans were very tight but I still got lots of reading in and I saw several movies. REALLY good movies came out this summer, I even got to see the Fault in Our stars with a few friends.
This Summer, My Favorite...
Daily Activity: I loved to go swimming this year. I wasn't a very good swimmer until this year, so it became a lot more fun.
Place to see: I very much enjoyed seeing my own bedroom. Coming home from a busy day out of the house, my bedroom seemed very important. It was like the break point. At home I spent a lot of time in there reading or sleeping.
Person to see: I loved meeting lots of new people over the summer and it would be hard for me to pick from all of those. I am a very talkative person and I am not very shy at all. This made it much easier to make new friends and pick up a Pen Pal along the way. I would say my favorite person to see was Martin Freeman ( through a screen ). I sure wish he wasn't that much older than me.
Movie/TV show: My top movie picks are The Fault in our Stars and Guardians of the Galaxy, I am so glad they finally made both into a movie! My favorite shows to watch over the summer were Doctor Who, Sherlock, and Cheongdam-dong Alice ( my second Korean Drama to try out )
Moment Overall: Hmm. I can't decide. My favorite moment overall was when one of the first graders gave me a hug. It made me feel like I was doing something right.
Song: My favorite song over the summer was Lipstick by Orange Caramel.
