Smoothie Shack

Mikayla Minnick-4/25/15

We make multiple kinds of delicious smoothies that come in two different sizes--small and large.

Restrictions

I won't be able to make more than 2,000 smoothies total in a month and I can't spend more than $2,000 in the first couple of months.

Inequalities

s= # of small smoothies, l= # of large smoothies

s≥0, s≤2,000

l≥0, l≤2,000

s+l≤2,000

1.50s+3l≤2,000

Cost and Selling Prices

The cost to produce a small smoothie is $1.50 and the cost to produce a large smoothie is $3.00. I can sell the small smoothie for $3.00 and the large smoothie for $5.00.

Cost and Profit

s= # of small smoothies, l= # of large smoothies

Cost=1.50s+3l

Sell=3s+5l

Profit=sell-cost

Profit=(3s-1.50s) + (5l-3l)

Profit=1.50s+2l

Maximized Profit

(0,0) P=1.5(0)+2(0), P=0

(0,667) P=1.5(0)+2(667), P=1334

(1333,0) P=1.5(1333)+2(0), P=1999.5

I will maximize my profit by making 1333 tacos a month.
