Mrs. Loring's 2nd Grade News
February 13, 2015
Today we enjoyed Sharpening the Saw during our Valentine party. Thank you to the many parents that were able to provide treats and craft supplies and also to those of you who helped during our party. The students had a great time! Also, thanks to those of you who spent time at home helping decorate a Valentine box or filling out Valentines. The children appreciate it so much!
The Student Showcase is finally almost here! We have been working so hard and are very excited to welcome you into our classroom as the students showcase their learning. Next week will be filled with more preparation and excitement! I will send reminder slips home with your times on them at the beginning of the week, but please refer to the link below if you need to change your time before then.
Thank you to those of you who have sent flashlights in with your child for Project Gratitude. Project Gratitude is a school-wide flashlight drive that is headed by Ms. Barnes' class. We are collecting working flashlights to donate to Uplift, a local organization that services the homeless. If you would like to support this cause, you may send flashlights to school between now and the end of February.
It's not too late to order a yearbook! If you're interested, visit the link below. The deadline for ordering is February 27th. Paper order forms will come home next week. Yearbooks will be delivered to students at the end of the school year.
