Similarity and Transformation

Similarities between shapes are like describing if they are similar to each other. In the process of finding the answer whether its similar or not you need to first find two vertices that make up a line and then find the two vertices of the second shape and see if the ratio is similar for all the sides of the shape. Then you see what transformations are used to get the new shape. The transformations you use are rotation , translation , reflection, and dilation.

Rotation- is rotating the figure with the given degree of the rotation and the points of the original shape was in.

Reflection- reflecting the image either over the x axis or y axis.

Translation- translating the shape by the given numbers either positive or negative.

Dilation- Making a image bigger or smaller by the given factor.
